Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities offered varying reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and implied they demonstrated a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an aide should have intervened when the decision to speak on the passing was made.
